Stefan van der Berg

Ministry leader

Stefan's career began as a commercial pilot where he honed his business development skills while leading a team of pilots and staff. However, his passion for community health, socio-economic development, and education led him to enter the full-time ministry as a project manager in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Aron Mwasile

Ministry Leader East Africa

Aron Mwasile is an accomplished entrepreneur and missionary with over 15 years of experience in senior mission roles across Africa.

His journey began in university, where he felt a call to missions but faced the familiar challenge of raising support as an African missionary. In response, he started a pig farm to sustain his mission work, which grew into Farm43 Africa—a venture now engaged in pig breeding, feed production, and soon pork processing.

Through this “business as mission” model, Aron not only supports kingdom initiatives and sustainable missions, but also boosts household incomes by creating local circular economies and decent jobs.

He brings unique insight to help the African church develop mission strategies that are both sustainable and contextually rooted.

Jacobus van Zyl

Youth Mission Coordinator
Jacobus is the youngest member of the dia-LOGOS team.

He developed a love for serving in the Kingdom from a young age, thanks to the exposure he gained through the mission work his parents were doing in Africa. He honed his skills in photography and videography during his teens.

After graduating with a degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Stellenbosch, he decided to explore the possibilities with videography in missions. This led him to discover a passion for working with refugees in the Middle East.

He subsequently felt called for a more long-term commitment to the NEXUS centre in Lebanon, where he is currently serving.

Jacobus has a burning desire to provide younger individuals with the necessary exposure to kingdom work, encouraging a much-needed younger generation of missionaries to enter into long-term strategic missions.

Now serving full-time in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp, they are engaged in discipleship, art ministry, and various community upliftment projects. Hythem Graham Betts

Hythem, a Canadian by nationality, raised in the Middle East and currently residing in South Africa, draws from a unique upbringing in the mission field.

Growing up cross-culturally in a missionary family afforded him the opportunity to see the patterns in the challenges people face, and the damage that unresolved hurt causes to the longevity of their ministry.

His career in missions started in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, where he served both as a humanitarian aid worker and a translator (Arabic-English). With over a decade of experience, he specializes in aiding individuals in processing grief associated with profound losses.

Over the last 5 years, Hythem has honed a transition coaching process which helps people navigate the challenges accompanying entry into the mission field. His cross-cultural upbringing, cross-cultural marriage, work experiences, and studies in Sociology equip him with an exceptional understanding of the integral role culture plays in our lives, enabling him to bridge cultural gaps effectively.

Hythem recently launched New Horizons Consulting, which is focused on helping missionaries set themselves up for success. The main service provided is transition coaching, with hopes of expanding to other support services in the future.
